Where Men Win Glory by Jon Krakauer
I read this book for the first time my Junior year of college, and it honestly changed my life. I was a lazy bum without much direction in my life. I played baseball, I didn’t do homework, I didn’t know what I was going to do with my future. Then I read about Pat Tillman. I read about how he gave up football and his life to do what he thought was right for the country he loved. I read about his dedication and his determination, and I decided I couldn’t be a bum anymore. Reading about this America hero changed my life, and this will forever be my favorite book.
The Martian by Andy Weir
The best books are fiction books that, in the middle of reading, you question whether it actually happened. The Martian is so realistic and so well written that it’s nearly impossible to discern what is truth and what was made up by the author. It feels so real that you want to google “Mars exploration” and are shocked that we haven’t been there yet.
Salem’s Lot by Stephen King
The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King
